Dan is a clinical assistant professor in the College of Education and Health Sciences at Adelphi University. With over 24 years of experience in sports administration and coaching, Dan is a dedicated professor who is well-connected in the field, both in the U.S. and internationally. In addition to his teaching experience, he is a youth hockey program director, an athletic trainer, a programming and facility design consultant and the founder and president of Progressive Hockey.  His research interests include participation and enjoyment in youth sports, college and preparatory scholarships for athletes, the enjoyment of sports and the professionalism of coaching.  Bedard was very involved with the creation and implementation of high school youth development programs to some of the largest school districts on Long Island.
